Drive-in Shelf

Drive-in Shelf is also called through-type shelf. It is suitable for the storage of goods with small varieties and large batches. Because the aisle between the rows of shelves is cancelled, the shelves are merged together, so that the goods on the same floor and in the same row are connected to each other, which maximizes the storage capacity utilization rate. Pallet racks almost double the storage capacity. This shelf access method is first-in-last-out or first-in-first-out; the goods are in and out from the same side, and it is usually recommended that the goods be picked up from the side to no more than 5 cargo depths.

The stability of the drive-in rack system is the weaker among all types of racks. For this reason, the rack should not be too high, generally within 8m. In addition, the system needs to be equipped with a tensioning device. Because drive-in racks require forklifts to drive into the racks to access the goods, the safety of personnel needs special attention.

Drive-in Shelf features:

1. Forklifts can drive into the tunnel to store pallets

2. The access method is first-in-last-out

3. The space utilization rate can be greatly improved
